Privacy Policy
Citality is an AI search visibility tracking service operated by Otron Pty Ltd ("Citality", "we", "us"). This policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions? Email privacy@citality.ai.
1. Information we collect
- Account details — your name, email address and a securely hashed password. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google instead of a password.
- Content you add — the brands/clients, descriptions, URLs, prompts and notes you enter to run visibility tests.
- Results and usage data — the AI answers generated by your tests, the detection metadata we derive from them, and counters we keep to meter your plan usage.
- Billing data — if you subscribe, payments are processed by Stripe. We store your Stripe customer and subscription identifiers; we do not store your full card number.
- Technical data — a session cookie to keep you signed in, your IP address (used for security and rate limiting), and basic server logs.
2. How we use your information
- To provide and operate the service, including running your prompts against AI models.
- To meter usage against your plan and to process billing.
- To send transactional email such as email verification and account notices.
- To secure the service, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot problems.
- To improve Citality and provide support.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
3. Cookies
We use a single essential cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
4. Service providers we share data with
To run Citality we rely on a small number of processors:
- OpenRouter and, through it, AI model providers (including OpenAI, Anthropic, Google and Perplexity). The prompts and brand information you choose to test are sent to these providers to generate answers.
- Stripe — payment processing and subscription management.
- Google — only if you choose "Sign in with Google".
- Email delivery and cloud hosting providers — to send email and run the application.
Each provider only receives the data needed to perform its function.
5. International processing
Our providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States. By using Citality you understand your data may be transferred and processed in those locations.
6. Data retention
We keep your account and content for as long as your account is active. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data at any time by contacting privacy@citality.ai. Some records may be retained where required for legal, tax or security reasons.
7. Security
We protect data in transit with encryption, store passwords only as salted hashes, and limit access to your data. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information safe.
8. Your rights
You can access, correct, export or delete your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, contact privacy@citality.ai. If you are in a region with specific data-protection laws (such as the GDPR or the Australian Privacy Act), those rights apply to you.
9. Children
Citality is a business tool and is not directed to anyone under 16.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll change the "last updated" date above and, for material changes, notify you where appropriate.
